I just bought new socks 😁 , the old ones were beyond darningBut WTAF there are left and right socks? (Marked on the socks)
What genius 😵💫 thought this was a good idea???
1. Before coffee I am incapable or discerning up and down, let alone left and right
2. Now I have to find my glasses to put socks on?
3. What about the sock warp in my washing machineMy brain is going to flip
I'll be taking them back as I don't need the hassle of demanding socks in my life

G&T needed supplies - so online shopping (Qld Avairies) to order more food... ohh look cute flat perch, cute toys, forage tray etc

I've been "saved" by the weather 😂🤣The grass is a bit long and uneven and needs a light mow 🤷♀️
Oh woe is me, the minute I pulled the mower out of the garden shed it rained heavily. Guess I'll just sit here, drink a cup of tea and watch the grass grow 🌱Have a fabulous day and remember that you are unique, so look out for yourself. Maybe, if you can, make the most of an unplanned spare moment to step off the treadmill and watch the world go by.. grass growing is a little miracle ✨️

Happy Saturday.It's a chilled morning here, watching the sunshowers through the patio doors... (note to self clean doors)
We are having a very wet dry season so far 😂🤣⛈️🌨🌨⛅️
This is one of our best growing seasons so the garden is loving the rain.G&T are having a post breakfast nap and the only sound from them is the occasional contented beak grind/muttered tweet
Plans include some gardening, coffee with friends and the usual activities

I needed a bit of a break before getting back into ... so what a wonderful surprise to see that the Blue Tit eggs had hatched yesterday
Such cute little birds, such joy. Of you need a little pick-me up check out the nest box on @pgoodgame feed 🐦 🪺 , those little birds are going to be very busy little parents 😊🧸 :blobhaj_cathug: for my pocket friends, especially for those of you who are having a tough time of it

I've done stuff... but nothing seems to have been visibly achieved 🤷♀️Well, the fridge contains staples
Dusting, floors, bathroom are passable
G&T have a sparkling clean cage
(the cage gets cleaned daily, bigger clean weekly, major clean every couple of months)Now I am in need of a nap but G&T are calling every time I dissappear from their sight, maybe a beanbag where they can see me 🤔

Following the Easter Monday tradition today is all about getting the garden in some sort of shape (I love the garden, it centres me and my favourite bits are the little wild patches that do their own thing)Today, 5 sq meters has been cleared for the new raised vegetable beds.. the old bed has been cleared and mulched. I haven't decided what to do with that yet but probably some native planting
G&T have been watching and passing comment from inside, I suspect they would like me to plant millet or corn 🌽 🌾
🦕🐦😂(A big thanks to the "kids" for showing up unexpectedly to help)
I'm not done for the day... just taking a lunch break
It has been so peaceful/de-stressing & I'll sleep well tonight!

I turned the news on this morning while I ate breakfast
😂 and turned it off pretty quicklyMaybe being too busy this week for anything other than work wasn't such a bad thing!!
Anyway it is a beautiful morning here, it was crisp (15°c) when I got up, the sky is a stunning light blue, and we are headed for a high of 26°c
The cooler weather has arrived!
G&T are currently sitting on a branch sunning themselves and occasionally snacking on the remains of their breakfast

Just stumbled upon (who am I kidding, was algorithm’d at) this purely delightful #australiantourism short film (long form ad). Cynically I’ll admit, I started watching, but I was quickly seduced and intrigued… I rewound and started all over again. Thoroughly enjoyed through to the end. Directed by Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman), and featuring the wonderful Rose Byrne. #TIL that #PeterRussellClarke, the affably bearded, foul-mouthed TV chef of ‘Come and Get It’ and ‘Where’s The Cheese’ 1980s fame, began his career as a professional cartoonist!
(This might not be news to older readers.)
He only got into the foodie thing because he would invite friends and business contacts to his #Carlton studio for lunch, which he cooked. He had his first TV chef gig on ‘The Don Lane Show’ in 1970.
Ohhhh, this makes sense of the fact that the opening credits of ‘Come and Get It’ featured a caricature of PRC, and his cookbooks had little cartoons in them. They were his work!
This is the second big revelation I have had about PRC after realising as an adult that the line from the ‘Come and Get It’ theme was “Feed your ego”; as a kid I had puzzled a lot over what “Feed your eagle” meant.
