G'day
Me: Alexa can you tell me when the rain is going to stop?
Alexa: It isn't raining!
Me: In the real world water is falling from grey things, known as clouds... I am pretty sure that is rain 🤦♀️
Alexa: It might rain today, there's a 51% chance at 7pmHappy Monday
Remember that you are unique so look after yourself, maybe believe empirical evidence over "AI", because nothing beats looking out the window and watching nature do its thing

G'day
Finally home after a long adventurous in the officeThere was a seat on public transport both ways (not surprising on the way home 😂)
A nice warm shower has been achieved
Pizza is in the air fryer (spinach feta and cherry tomatoes on a sourdough base) 😊
Hope your Friday ends with a warm fuzzie
Remember that you are unique so look out for yourself

Good morning
Back to werk-werk today after a day off to not go to the Ekka yesterday. Yesterday was spent with friends, family and the garden. The melaleuca are in bloom and the lillypillies have cute little berries. Both the honey-eaters and the lorikeets are enjoying nature's bountyRemember that you are unique so look after yourself. Maybe make some time to stop and admire nature's little gifts
Have a fabulous day

G'day
I'm partying this weekend like it's 1975 🙄It is interesting having cash only!
There are all these places that treat cash as a quaint curiosity
Sorry we don't accept cash
Sorry we can't make change
Sorry we don't accept prepaid credit cardsThis is temporary.. but it I am getting an appreciation for how hard it is to live in today's world without electronic funds. It is a lot harder than pre-covid
Anyway plans for the weekend:
Listen to music on the national broadcaster 📻
Walk to the corner shop and buy a bag of sweets 🍬 (wonder if they do white paper bags 🤔)
Maybe do some homework 📖Whatever you are doing this weekend.. remember that you are unique so look out for yourself. Maybe step out and do something retro

G'day
One of the local coffee shops is having a "home barista" class this morningThey only had 10 spaces and had over 100 people apply on the first day they advertised the class!!!
I missed out... but they are going to run more classes because so many people want to learn to make better coffee at home 😍
They are also talking about having some classes in basic coffee art 😊 - pick me!!!
Anyway I'm off to coffee. Have a stupendous Saturday!

Guess who finished work on time for once?? 😊
I was mid conversation with a colleague (OK it was a meeting 🙄) waved, said bye and ran away
🏃♀️ 😂🤣Not sure what to do now... this is a little unusual
Walk? Nap? FediCrastinate
You are unique so look after yourself... maybe take some me time when you can?
Have a fabulous Friday 🧸 :blobhaj_cathug:

G'day Mastodon! I'm going to try this thing out to see how it works since the Bird Site is awful. Is Mastodon better than BlueSky? Or Threads? Let's find out.
I post nonsense about Aus news, tabletop and video games, marketing, and content creation. Sometimes it's even coherent! Mostly it's not.
Jeez but 3,000 characters is a lot, isn't it?

Just stumbled upon (who am I kidding, was algorithm’d at) this purely delightful #australiantourism short film (long form ad). Cynically I’ll admit, I started watching, but I was quickly seduced and intrigued… I rewound and started all over again. Thoroughly enjoyed through to the end. Directed by Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman), and featuring the wonderful Rose Byrne. Highly recommend the 9 min watch: https://youtu.be/P3PdfWVk7h8 #australia #tourism #rubyandlouis #animatedshort #gday

#TIL that #PeterRussellClarke, the affably bearded, foul-mouthed TV chef of ‘Come and Get It’ and ‘Where’s The Cheese’ 1980s fame, began his career as a professional cartoonist!
(This might not be news to older readers.)
He only got into the foodie thing because he would invite friends and business contacts to his #Carlton studio for lunch, which he cooked. He had his first TV chef gig on ‘The Don Lane Show’ in 1970.
Ohhhh, this makes sense of the fact that the opening credits of ‘Come and Get It’ featured a caricature of PRC, and his cookbooks had little cartoons in them. They were his work!
This is the second big revelation I have had about PRC after realising as an adult that the line from the ‘Come and Get It’ theme was “Feed your ego”; as a kid I had puzzled a lot over what “Feed your eagle” meant.
