Dear Friends of winter pansies,
The robin who guards our garden worms (and probably eats them) helped me plant 8 (thought I had seven) Lidl pansies. Still £1.99 for 10 - so bought 20 again. Bit of colour for autumn onward
Also found some strawberry mint growing amongst the wild geraniums in this pot before I sequestered it. That is being planted under our indoor grow lights lights.

Have you tried valerian leaves yet?
If not, you're in for a treat! Valerian leaves make a great early spring "lettuce", long before lettuce is ready for harvest.
It's another amazing facet of this perennial medicinal plant with beautiful flowers!

With this May-like weather I'm getting a jump on some landscaping projects. First up - remove an old concrete base that was supposed to be for a fire pit. Discovering that I do good concrete work. It's tough going to break it up and cut the rebar. If I don't procrastinate this will all be lawn by mid June.
