  1. Mr 10 has been doing a great job of DM'ing our family D&D game. Last session I noticed the Player's Handbook had some art with runes in it! And they don't look like garbage!! I can already read the first two words!

Finally! A chance to show the kids that learning the writing of our ancestors has real-world use!

After the session wraps up I begin transliteration, eager to tell the story of this epic image, and inspire a love of futhorc in my family. I'm literally trembling with excitement.

    "What does it say, father?"

  5. Runes and why English should be written in khuzdul, or real-world futhorc.

An interesting take on the Norse writing system.

  6. A nice overview of #Futhark / #Futhorc runes in #history, and why (in some ways) #English would be better served using them than Latin #orthography. As an added bonus, Rob articulates a good refutation of the Nazis’ Armanist bullshit.

(And shows off a couple of cool shirts.)

  7. Do you like to write in #runes? I have created a web app that has five runesets ( #Futhorc [Anglo-Saxon runes], #ElderFuthark, #ShortTwig, #LongBranch, and #Medieval runes), allows you to copy to your clipboard, automatically remembers and loads your last used rune set selection, has keyboard support, and lets you choose between modern looking runes or ancient looking ones.

    It's also free and ad-free. It's called RuneTyper 2.
