At this time, I'd like to thank #Gracenote for buying the #CDDB project and locking us all out. I was the opposite of thankful at that time, but that buyout gave us the #FreeDB fork, then GnuDB, and, later, #Musicbrainz.

TIL that freedb hasn't existed since 2020. But gnudb does!
https://gnudb.org/
And it has the first disc! Marked up properly, unlike Gracenote, who lost all of the accented characters ...
https://gnudb.org/cd/df0e7b83I'm still mad about the CDDB/Gracenote thing which happened almost 24 years ago ...

MusicBrainz's pickiness is a pain. It won't allow me to save my work unless *every* artist on this compilation is accounted for. The fact that it doesn't auto-split artists credited like "Jandy Ventura & Los Potros" is not worth the time.
Even Discogs doesn't have this CD, a Mock & Roll / Sony Music release.
I wonder if freedb still works? It used to accept anything you gave it

Es braucht also vermutlich manuelle Nachbearbeitung.
