Tengo el capricho de buscar un lector de huellas; por probar el inicio de sesión con #fprint. Dudo que lo acabe usando como método exclusivo para entrar al PC. Por eso, si alguien sabe, busco uno baratico. No más de veinte euros.

1. Every few reboots/updates/whatever-triggers it, the fingerprint functionality GETS DISABLED all by itself. The bug is there in BOTH Ubuntu and Arch Linux ( #gnome ).

2. GDM won't let me choose between pass & fingerprint reading. This has repercussions for gnome's keyring.

3. Because the keyring is not unlocked, launching things like Chrome requires you to type a password! Again!

Overall, abysmal.

Je fais appel à la communauté et aux utilisateurs #linux #fedora. J'ai depuis quelques temps un souci sur mon laptop #framework13 : l''authentification par lecture d'empreintes ne fonctionne plus (ou plutôt par intermittence) sans raison apparente. Ça m'zmbete un peu parce que le passowrd que j'ai mis en place est assez relou à saisir.
Le menu permettant d'enregistrer les empreintes n'apparait même plus dans les paramètres mais visiblement #fprint est #fprint-pam sont toujours installés

Дошли руки до #fprint настроить на моем новом ноуте. Оказалось не просто, а очень просто. Теперь открываю локскрин одним прикосновением пальца.

Два момента. В современной Плазме совсем нестрашно не ставить ввод пароля впереди остальных методов, как советует #archwiki. #Плазма всё равно спросит пароль, если всё остальное не сработает.

Второй момент, я не стал ставить фпринт в #SDDM, потому что на старте всё равно пароль нужен, чтобы расшифровать #KWallet. Ну а раз пароль всё равно надо вводить, то почему бы и не ввести его в положенном месте.

А вы какие ещё интересные моменты знаете про сканер пальца на ноутбуках?

On mac, I need to login with password but then I can unlock with fingerprint or password. On #linux #GNOME, I always have to use fingerprint first to get the to password.

The #fprint readme contains this:
