Nearly 30 years after it's initial release, #FolkImplosion have re-released their "Kids" soundtrack with re-mastered songs, variations, and unreleased tracks.
I was already a #Sebadoh fan before this album, but I remember diving into samplers and things after hearing "Natural One" for the first time. I've never seen the film, but this soundtrack made such a huge impression on me.
"Music From Kids" is available on #BandCamp here: https://thefolkimplosion.bandcamp.com/album/music-for-kids

The word is Quest
Dinosaur Jr, “Quest” from Dinosaur, 1985#DinosaurJr was a seminal band in the burgeoning #alternative scene, not in the spiky clubs in Boston, but out in the woods in #WesternMass.
On their debut eponymous album (their original name was Dinosaur; they had to change it after legal action by the group Dinosaurs), the music was less polished, less precise, dare I say, grungier than the #PostPunk and uptempo #NewWave flooding commercial airwaves.
There’s something very #NeilYoung about their sound, and this song in particular, and about #JMascis, the driving force of Dinosaur Jr, himself, in sound and in uncompromising attitude. #LouBarlow from the original lineup went on to form #Sebadoh, then #FolkImplosion, but indirectly, Dinosaur Jr.'s influence was far wider, launching an undercurrent of #LoFi #indie music.
