@transbay at #flowerPiano in the moon viewing garden

It has been an amazing week so far at Flower Piano in the San Francisco Botanical Garden, seeing friends old and new, reveling in the joy of musicmaking and community connections at the 10-year milestone of this wonderful tradition.

This Saturday, I am delighted to return to the Moon Viewing Garden to share some beautiful music by Johann Sebastian Bach, in honor of the maestro's 340th birthday earlier this year. If you happen to be at the Garden this Saturday Sept. 20 at 4:00 p.m., please drop by!

@transbay plays Beethoven at #flowerPiano

Flower Piano fast approaches! This year, I am delighted to be playing at a location in the San Francisco Botanical Garden where I have not performed in previous years. It will be at the Ancient Plant Garden, which is located right next to the smaller northern entrance to the @sfbotanicalgarden. This section of the garden features prehistoric plant life and even boasts "authentic" dinosaur footprints.

The performance will be an all-Beethoven program, on Wednesday, September 18 at 1:00 p.m. I hope to see you there!

Having long ago maxed out on my unused PTO time, today I was able to set aside the week of September 16 for time off. I am not traveling anywhere, as that is of course the very same week as #FlowerPiano!

I am scheduled to perform on Wednesday, September 18, but now will be able to visit the pianos in the S.F. Botanical Garden every day that week! I can't wait.

Excited to share that I will be performing at Flower Piano in the San Francisco Botanical Garden on Wed, Sept. 18! The program and ticket information is linked here (https://gggp.org/flowerpiano/), and more details about my performance are posted on Instagram. Hope to see you in the Garden on Sept. 18!

Tried out the Conifer Lawn piano at #FlowerPiano today. Smoother than the instrument at the Moon Viewing Garden, though it is hard to beat the beautiful setting of the latter.

Here’s @transbay playing Beethoven’s Sonata no. 31, in the beautiful moon viewing garden. Big audience. #FlowerPiano

Serenaded while in line by a viola, piano and sax trio. #FlowerPiano

Line for #FlowerPiano. I’ll probably miss the first few minutes of @transbay playing Beethoven

Delighted and honored to return to the Moon Viewing Garden, one of my favorite corners of the SF Botanical Garden, to perform at #FlowerPiano. A full hour of Beethoven, this afternoon at 2:00 pm!

#FlowerPiano officially kicks off! With opening remarks by Phil Ginsburg of Rec and Parks.

My favorite time of year, #FlowerPiano, is almost here! There's a great lineup of performances September 8-12 at the SF Botanical Garden and pianos open to play at other times. If you're around this weekend, I'll be performing on Sat. Sept 9 at 2:00 p.m. in the Moon Viewing Garden. Please come by for some Beethoven and to say hello! The Botanical Garden website (https://www.sfbg.org/flowerpiano) has schedule and ticket info. Hope to see you in the Garden!

Getting a little time in at a keyboard today before performing at #FlowerPiano next month.

Thrilled to share that I will be performing at Flower Piano at the San Francisco Botanical Garden, which is coming up soon after Labor Day. The performance is part of the "piano extravaganza" scheduled for Saturday, September 9 at 2:00 p.m. and will be an all-Beethoven program, with sonatas that he composed toward the end of his life. This year I am fortunate to have been placed once again at the piano in the Moon Viewing Garden (pictured here, in 2021), one of the most magical corners of the @sfbotanicalgarden.

For more information about the #FlowerPiano schedule and reserving tickets, please see https://www.sfbg.org/flowerpiano. I will post again closer to the date and hope to see you in the #sfbotanicalgarden that weekend!
