#sfbotanicalgarden — Public Fediverse posts

It has been an amazing week so far at Flower Piano in the San Francisco Botanical Garden, seeing friends old and new, reveling in the joy of musicmaking and community connections at the 10-year milestone of this wonderful tradition.

This Saturday, I am delighted to return to the Moon Viewing Garden to share some beautiful music by Johann Sebastian Bach, in honor of the maestro's 340th birthday earlier this year. If you happen to be at the Garden this Saturday Sept. 20 at 4:00 p.m., please drop by!

Dahlias for today's picture. I need to learn more about how to grow them; they're so cool!

I love the depth of field in this photo. Computational photography can do wonders to simulate increased depth of field for cameras with smaller sensors, but I still prefer the real thing.

Thrilled to share that I will be performing at Flower Piano at the San Francisco Botanical Garden, which is coming up soon after Labor Day. The performance is part of the "piano extravaganza" scheduled for Saturday, September 9 at 2:00 p.m. and will be an all-Beethoven program, with sonatas that he composed toward the end of his life. This year I am fortunate to have been placed once again at the piano in the Moon Viewing Garden (pictured here, in 2021), one of the most magical corners of the @sfbotanicalgarden.

For more information about the #FlowerPiano schedule and reserving tickets, please see https://www.sfbg.org/flowerpiano. I will post again closer to the date and hope to see you in the #sfbotanicalgarden that weekend!
