Landing on Río de la Plata airdrome, near Ezpeleta, Argentina.
The original ranguli''s #Flightgear PA28 has been recreated with new textures, including rivets and paneling. The internal door, carpets and panel trimming textures has been added using authentic Piper detailing and replacement parts photographs.
Several XCF Paintkits are provided for additional layered editing on https://github.com/ubuntuperonista/piper-warrior.
Dirt and weathering is included for the sake of it. -
Testing the new carpets and trimmings for the #PiperWarriorII weathered interior textures. The new riveted and old n' dirty skin completes its livery in #Flightgear

New abyss of #flightgear and "AI"
Folks delete a LOT of stuff from the wiki to make the wiki work better for "AI"... That would have been avoided with a strong stance against "AI"! -

Today I spent the day making and flying a new livery for the RV-8 in #FlightGear
This is Redline Airshows. My fourth RV-8 livery, previous ones are a personal OrbitalMartian one, a fictional Spitfire style one, Team Raven (circa 2022-23 - Raven 2 - G-OCTO) and now this one.
I have another one in the works, but I do still have a little bit of work to do to finish the Redline one.

Although zlsa's piper-archer is almost complete, sadly it was never finished. Of course, being a GPLv3 asset, it could be rebooted easily with some group efforts.
This flight tested a better Lycoming O320 engine sound, and its new LV-LJA livery paint scheme, with mild weathering finish.

The FG Pa28 180hp model seems to carry the right performance for the real 160hp model using its wheel spats. Does anybody remember those pants?

Flying the Pa-28 Warrior II on #Flightgear. The 160hp version model seems quite slow in comparison with the real thing. The 180hp version approximates the real 160hp engine performances.

Nach langer Zeit plane ich dieses Jahr mal wieder einen #Flugfunk-Kurs. Ich spreche hier vorwiegend Einsteiger*innen (Alter 15-99 Jahre) an. Ihr braucht keine Vorkenntnisse außer allgemeinem Interesse an der privaten #Fliegerei nach Sicht.
Meldet euch bei Interesse hier.
Ziel ist es, das #BZF II oder BZF I zu erlangen. Die Prüfungskosten der BNetzA liegen knapp unter 100€. Fürs #AZF kann ich bei Bedarf einen späteren Kurs anbieten.

Today I spent six hours and 41 minutes in flight on a 5 leg transAtlantic transit flight. Next time, I will do the last 2 legs of the flight plan to get from the UK to the US in a single engine fast jet trainer.

El ultraliviano Aéroservices SuperGuépard 912 de #Flightgear está representado de manera imprecisa. Con el motor Rotax 912 debería dar 185 km/h de crucero, en el simulador apenas alcanza 90 km/h 😩 Aún así se presenta las características básicas del vuelo.

The say #flightgear is a meritocracy... those who do the work get the say...
But I feel like it turns into a promptocracy... those who prompt the "AI" get the say cause they are "doing" things...
(and outpace those who go the 100% use of actual intelligence route) -

I spent the day today painting a new default livery for the Hawk T.1. To replace the bad old one that I had (the black RAF livery that wasn't at all accurate or good.
Introducing...
XX240 of the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm.
Tomorrow I am hoping to make at least one more livery, one of a number of RAF squadron liveries. Eventually I'll redo the Red Arrows liv.

So, I did a ton of work the last couple of days on the Hawk T1 project for #FlightGear .
And... today, for the first time in FlightGear, I've gone "Smoke on" in the Red Arrows Livery (which is now somewhat fixed, compared to the mess that it was).
