dont mind me doing a little ventposting in the wake of 2xko's death, but

i hate what a stranglehold street fighter has on the way people talk about fighting games. i hate that every new game is judged against the standard SF sets, and because that series is so popular, players of it (esp. new sf6 players) get to drown out conversation from other audiences that want different things instead of expanding their tastes or shutting up about things they don't like

it feels so juvenile that games that are not SF are flamed for being different, and it sucks how the prevailing opinion keeps telling me that the things I enjoy in fighting games are "wrong"

I know this isnt true for every SF player, and it's not true for the FGC at large, but god does it still feel like it to me #fightinggames #fgc

At this point I believe that this was the preferred outcome for them so they don't have to support another live service game, ngl.

#6 Assorted Casino (1995) Reaction Videos – I missed out on Martin Scorsese’s 1995 film Casino during its theatrical run and I saw it on home video some years later. Here are the results of the first week of the Street Fighter 6 CPU vs CPU tournament. 3 rounds of fights have been put into the books as Marisa and surprise underdog E. From "it won't be much cheaper" it went to "cost the same or more" as soon as I realized most things are not sold in the quantities I need, so I need to buy extra. And deal with the leftovers.

Factor in the new taxes in EU when buying from Aliexpress, I'm going to be paying more for an inferior product since the 8bitdo has wireless connection and costs about the same I'd pay to build my own fightstick.

I still want to build one to measure at some point, but I really don't think it makes sense to do it now.

#1 Street Fighter III: New Generation Revisited – Way back in 1994, I had a blast of fun playing Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) plus other Street Fighter II games in the arcades. Naturally, I had a personal anticipation for Street Fighter III. However, Capcom released Street Fighter Alpha (Street Fighter Zero) and follow-up games over the next few years. In the 1st quarter of 1997, I saw Street Fighter III: New Generation in the local arcade and quickly inserted tokens to play it. I was very impressed with its super-smooth animation and enjoyed it. Still, something about the game felt hollow and weird as well which is related to the fact that Ryu and Ken were the only established Street Fighter characters who returned. Indeed, there was something odd that happened behind the scenes at Capcom when Street Fighter III: New Generation was made. Watch and learn from the videos below.
