My Autistim ass: these feather beads would make a neat fidget thingy.

Also my Autistism ass: Well, time to break out my frame loom and glow yarn to do this

Anyway, this took about some time during breaks, a making then destroying of a prototype, using my 2.0 mm needles as a stabliser, and 42 luminscent acrylic feather beads, but I made this fidget fabric. It's very clicky, flexible, and I made it to mimic bird skin. It also glows in the dark, which pleases my glow in the dark lover soul.

(Also, coincidentally, it's rainbow)

Participated in a focus group today for perceptions about the #Sensory room that debuted during finals week (last week). If you ever have a chance to experience a sensory space/room/event, I’d highly recommend it. I was a bit frazzled going in, but felt calm and much happier almost immediately after entering the space. Bought a few things the other day including a few DVDs of Griffin’s films, an icepack held in a kind of belt (of course it’s too small, whoops). That and the squishy pastel pink and blue hedgehogs need to go back cos I didn’t realise they flash a red light as well. Nope. They’re #FidgetToys for #stimming btw, not random cuteness.

I also bought four pots of #playdoh I thought would be nice to squish, and yaas, they are.

I'm looking for some #StimToys / #FidgetToys suggestions.

I need something small & and compact that won't be visible to others and makes no noise. I need it for when I have to sit quietly on a stage, in a concert. To keep my hands subtley busy.

I have a spin ring, but it'll clang off my instrument (a tuba). I also have a rubbery squishy toy, but it makes a horrible squelchy noise.

Any help would be appreciated
