well, anyway, i did a thing:

🎅🎄 🎵 i saw mommy avenge #santa claus
brandishing her #huntingknife last night.
she went and stalked the thugs,
who had slipped st. nick the drugs.
she gave santa the solace
he was owed when justice shrugged.

then, i heard mommy cry, "oh, santa claus!"
falling to her knees, her knuckles white.
oh, what a laugh it would have been
were this her only sin
but mommy honored santa's wish last night. 🎶 🎄🎅

and i just lugged up the (fake) #ChristmasTree up from the basement. since i'm not putting it up tonight, i just stashed it in the living room right by the coffee table. so, #christmas decor is gonna hafta wait at least one more day.

i swear to god it looks like a fucking dead body just laying there in its zippered up storage bag, all lumpy and bloated in places, a limb having penetrated the fabric, attracting flies and with sticky clumped hair clinging to the bottom.
