Used a Nordic Ware bundt tin for the first time this evening and happy with how it turned out - so simple but so pretty!

December's cocktail pie - Parsnip Flip Galette
Ango shortcrust, sherry and dried fruit chutney, maple-bourbon parsnips, toasted almonds
Something about The Aviary's Parsnip Flip stood out to me this month - festive, unexpected, and it already sorta sounds like a pie.
It's gonna make some good Christmassy lunches as we get towards the holidays!

Trying out a Parsnip Flip from the Aviary's Holiday Cocktails book - parsnip syrup, bourbon and sherry.
It's pretty good and very festive. Every sip you remember there's parsnip, and then remember that's a good thing 😅

FINALLY got into town today to pick up my yarn for the Arne and Carlos Advent Stocking!
Super excited, can't wait to cast on the toe tonight.
Was also surprised to find that I don't actually own DPNs in 3.5mm, so two IC method it is (I prefer that anyways, so that works).

Sweet Peychaud's pastry, sweet potato and rye filling, absinthe rinse
I've loved seeing everyone's Thanksgiving pies, so for November I decided to go down the classic American pie and cocktail route.
Sazerac flavours worked so well here to complement the pie's regular spices.

Starting to plan some seasonal baking while testing out a modified Rumplesnuggler cocktail this afternoon (chosen entirely for the name). Hot chocolate, Amarula (instead of Bailey's), mint liqueur - went too heavy on the mint so looks like I'll have to try this one out again 😉
