Muddle one strawb and slice, garnish the others.
I need to up my Tiki game. Too many muddled bits make a straw hard to use. Crushed ice makes it hard to sip. Oh well.
Strawberry Daiquiri on the rocks. Yum.

Tonight's "movie" features a very vibrant and eye-catching hairdo, one you don't see every day, the ultimate* combination of bangs and a widow's peak. So in tribute I messed around with someone else's recipe and came up with the:
MPDG (Moonbase Purplehaired 'Do Gal)

3/4 oz. light, floral Gin
3/4 oz. Cointreau
3/4 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
3/4 oz. Vermouth
3/4 oz. Absinthe*
3/4 oz. Creme de Violette
Edible Glitter and maybe some pea-flower extract to help with the color* I _HIGHLY_ recommend just subbing in more gin, unless you like Anise and becoming Mr. Hyde or whatnot.
Mix in a shaker, shake, and serve over fresh ice in whatever cocktail glass you have handy!

Mostly I just made it equal parts. I don't think the flavor is going to be too different, the absinthe kind of steps up and commandeers the flavor, hard. Again: probably better without that XD #monsterdrink #monsterdrinks #cocktail

50ml Gin, 15ml Curacao, 15ml Lemon, 15ml Orange juice, 15ml soda
It's a daisy. Stir the 4 main ingredients briefly, just to cool it. Pour, then add 15ml soda to lengthen it. Can be tricky to get the dilution right. Takes practice!

Express oils from lemon peel and garnishI have a hard time telling if the strega does much in this cocktail, but the people in the comments on difford's guide seemed convinced. Overall very nice. I used another Hendrick's gin here which I think worked quite well, though maybe a more standard gin would let the strega shine more.

Für dieses vom Original etwas abweichende Rezept habe ich schon mal ein Basilikum-Sorbet gemacht:
Wasser Zucker + #Glukose aufkochen, auflösen, abkühlen. Viel #Basilikum in dem Sirup fein pürieren, kalt stellen. mit Zitronensaft + Limettensaft verrühren. Durch ein Sieb gießen + in de Eismaschine gefrieren lassen.

If you don't live in the USA, and don't have easy access to the "Champagne of beers" (tastes great less filling), just put 25ml Aperol and a big lime/lemon squeeze in a collins glass, and add whatever stubby you have to hand.
