Honestly, the game is so innovative in so many ways, difficult to list them all.
But its unique (physics based) combat system is well worth learning, because it's a one of a kind dungeon crawler. Very atmospheric, almost survival horror-y.

Was up waaayyy too late last night playing #Exanima and only stopped because it crashed.
Say what you will about its early access state--I'd call it a super fun, super polished #verticalslice --but there's no denying the potential here: a compelling narrative with a dedication to innovative mechanics any #FromSoftware / #Soulslike lover ought to appreciate.

#Exanima is supposedly a prelude to a much bigger, much more ambitious project called #SuiGeneris, from #BareMettle. The former has been in development for years but still shows signs of life, though it might benefit from a more modern approach to community engagement.

Been playing a ridiculous amount of #exanima the last two days. Such a very simple game on the surface but so very complex to play and master. I think I enjoy its combat even more than that of Mount&Blade, though they're very different.
