A note on a broken front bike wheel (ENVE SES 4.5)

I was going to take the Pinarello out today, but I noticed one of the spokes on the front wheel had come off the hub...the picture shows the spoke resting on the broken part, but it can move freely... It looks like the part that keeping the spoke in place on the hub had somehow broken off, which is very weird because I hadn't ridden this bike for 4 months, and last time it was fine.

I submitted a warranty claim to ENVE which has lifetime warranty for wheelsets. They responded very quickly and asked for pictures of serial numbers. But man tubeless setup is sooooo annoying. It took so much effort to take the tire off because everything has to be airtight. With sealant splashing everywhere and slippery it hurt my fingers trying to push the tire rim off 🥹

I had to do this because the serial number is under the rim tape (again, required for tubeless setup). It was a pain to take off the rim tape too!

But glad that ENVE warranty is so good!

I was reminded that #enve had (well, has) brushes, and, more importantly, stroke width, pressure, and a few other dynamics.
Can we have those back, @friction ? I don't care much about brushes themselves, just about pointy and possibly translucent heads and tails on shapes that can be used with Sub-path, so, strokes.
Made in enve, the same arrow can be made in Friction apart from the pointy line end.

New wheelset, new waxed chain, new bar tape, new brake pads, new tires (30mm now vs 28mm)

It feels awesome and looks awesome. The Enve inner drive free hub is loud, and I swapped the 60 teeth ratchet to 90 teeth, which makes higher pitch noise. I still need to get used to it, but good thing is that runners and pedestrians can hear me approaching 🤪 if they're not wearing headphones...

ENVE MELEE X SRAM RED E1 = Perfect Match

Daniels Traumrad erfüllt sich hier im Studio, denn er macht bei der Auswahl einfach alles richtig.

Das ENVE Composites MELEE Rahmenset ist der Inbegriff einer modernen Roadbike-Basis, Leicht, steif, schön. Genug Reifenfreiheit für 34mm Slicks und mit passender Stütze, Lenker und Vorbau einfach superedel.
Dazu gehören selbstverständlich ENVE Felgen, mit denen man das Rad ganz nach eigenen fahrerischen Wünschen anpassen kann. Daniel entscheidet sich für den Allrounder schlechthin - die SES 3.4 und wir paaren diese mit dem Chris King Nabensatz in Farbe Matte Midnight. Auch bei den Reifen ziehen wir die Linie durch - Daniel fährt auf ENVE SES Road Reifen in 29mm Breite.
Bei der Schaltgruppe gehen wir in die Vollen und verbauen die neue SRAM RED E1. Diese hat in diesem Jahr eine Überarbeitung aller Komponenten erhalten und begeistert sowohl Daniel als auch uns. Passend dazu Pedale von TIME und auch der neuen Hammerhead Radcomputer, der perfekt im SRAM Kosmos verankert ist, ist am Start.
