A vulnerability reported by Doyensec's French team members in Electron's `shell.openPath()` has now been patched. Apps relying on string-only path validation could be tricked into opening a different file via an embedded null byte.

Всем привет, начиная с прошлого лета я потихоньку клепал свою версию Telegram Wrapped. Началось всё максимально тупо. Я увидел в TikTok рекламу очередного сервиса, который обещал красиво проанализировать мой Telegram. Проверять такое на основном аккаунте мне показалось сомнительной идеей, поэтому я зашёл туда с фейка, на котором было буквально три переписки. В итоге фейк угнали. Да, аккаунт с тремя чатами. После этого я задумался: почему вообще ради красивой статистики человек должен отдавать кому‑то код входа, сессию Telegram или доступ ко всему аккаунту? Так появилась идея сделать свой Wrapped, который не заходит в аккаунт и не отправляет переписки на чужой сервер.

Well, I've been working on an #eInk #cyberdeck recently, and it runs a #raspberrypi 3B+, which is (it turns out) way underpowered to run #logseq (something something #electron app).

Well! It turns out that someone has written a different version of #logseq which can work alongside logseq (on the same files) - it's called #Tine and it seems to have all the features I use on logseq (with the exception of sync, but that was always janky anyhow, and so I would probably use #syncthing instead either way), but actually runs on lower powered devices! (There's even an #android version which seems to run happily on my #Fairphone3 🎉)
