Tuesday and Wednesday I was at the Research and Education Trust & Identity Town hall meeting in Stockholm, Sweden, kindly hosted by SUNET.
Reflecting on the this meeting, as a @SURF T&I member, the @geant project work package leader for #eduGAIN, and member of the #REFEDS steering group, it was an good event that blended the best of all my professional worlds, where
I presented the status and future of SURF T&I services, being #SURFconext, #eduID, #SRAM and #SURFsecureID. -

@mikarv @SLURF This is indeed one of the 'research questions' for this pilot project. Of course you can migrate before you graduate. But perhaps in the future you can also use the #EduID @SURF is working on that you could access your whole life (to enable life long learning).

Die #ZKI AG edu-ID hat ein Whitepaper zur Einordnung dieser in die aktuelle Landschaft digitaler Identitäten im Bildungskontext in Deutschland sowie europaweit veröffentlicht. @EzellaGarnie @krugar @chpietsch Mit so viel ID Experten zusammen: Für den Grassroots Post-Publication Peer Review System möchte ich das Einloggen leichter machen. Also such ich etwas wie Google oder Facebook Login, aber dann für Akademiker und mit weniger Datenschutzproblemen.
ORCHID wurde passen. #eduID ist wahrscheinlich noch zu klein, global gesehen. Wurde eduGAIN passen? https://edugain.org/
Gibt es noch weitere Anbieter?

@krugar @EzellaGarnie Ich werde z.T. vom DFG-Projekt ORCID_DE bezahlt und finde Privatsphäre sehr, sehr wichtig. Und da bin ich nicht der einzige. Das Projekt hat von iRights ein datenschutzrechtliches Gutachten anfertigen lassen: http://doi.org/10.2312/lis.17.02
Wie auch immer – jetzt verstehe ich die Unterschiede zwischen #ORCID und #eduID schon etwas besser.
