To begin 2026, we are pleased to share the strong activity over the past two years in the creation of ORCID affiliations at UniCA: nearly a 40 percent increase in creations between 2023 and 2025, most of them being employer affiliations.
This momentum is in particular the result of a proactive policy to support the scientific community in the creation and alignment of digital identifiers (such as ORCID, IdHAL and IdRef), with the support of the Research Services mission team during halathons, dedicated workshops held as part of masterclasses for PhD students, as well as during doctoral training sessions.

🎊 Bonne année et tous les vœux ensoleillés de la part des bibliothèques d'Université Côte d'Azur !Pour commencer 2026, nous sommes heureux de partager la forte activité depuis deux ans dans la création d'affiliations ORCid à UniCA : près de 40% d'augmentation des créations entre 2023 et 2025, dont une majorité d'affiliations employeur.
Cette dynamique est notamment le résultat d'une politique volontariste d’accompagnement de la communauté scientifique à la création et à l’alignement des identifiants numériques (ORCid, IdHAL, IdRef…), avec le soutien de l'équipe de la mission Services aux chercheurs lors des halathons, lors des ateliers dédiés au moment des masterclasses à destination des doctorants, ainsi que lors des formations doctorales.

🆔 Last week, the final Halathon of 2025 took place, with the second session held at the INPHYNI laboratory of Université Côte d’Azur. This second session, following the Halathon in November, once again made it possible to work on the quality of researcher profiles in order to improve the visibility of scientific outputs. The agenda therefore included creating accounts and idHALs, merging accounts (subsequently carried out by the CCSD - Centre for Direct Scientific Communication), as well as work on other identifiers, notably ORCid, arXiv, and IdRef.
The Halathons will resume in January! 📅

🆔 La semaine dernière s'est tenu le dernier Halathon de 2025, avec la deuxième session organisée au laboratoire INPHYNI d'Université Côte d'Azur. Cette seconde intervention après le halathon de novembre a permis à nouveau de travailler sur la qualité des profils chercheurs afin d'améliorer la visibilité des productions scientifiques.
