@ahltorp @hauschke O yes! That level of cooperation was kind of a miracle when #eduroam was created and when #edugain followed - unbelievable. I'd love to say that those servivces made my life easier, but that'd be a lie, because I was on the team that had to adapt the local infrastructure to those new services. As a user though I am a HUGE fan of both.

Bottom-up or Top-down #validation?
What do these scenarios mean for #GÉANT & the #NRENs?
According to our CCO Cathrin Stöver @cathrin "The balance is in the middle, and organisations such as GÉANT need to meet the requirements of the bottom-up – absolutely reliable services with continuity – and the top-down – allowing for a level of vision and oversight, including trends, changing politics, and policies."

New year, new challenges #excited. On behalf of the Dutch Research and Education Network SURF, I'll be leading together with Marina Adomeit (SUNET) and @klaas (@geant ) the Trust & Identity work package in the next 2 year iteration of the European GÉANT project (GN5-1).

SURF werkt samen met de andere Europese onderwijs- en onderzoeksnetwerken binnen GÉANT, om op deze wijze een pan-Europees netwerk en innovatieve services te leveren. De realisatie hiervan vindt plaats via het GÉANT-project.
