Since the right can't come up with any actual evidence of malfeasance, they manufacture phony investigations filled with innuendo and implications, but ultimately no proof for the lofty allegations made. Then, they pretend these investigations are the smoking gun their base have been clamoring for. And their credulous, uncritical base just eats it up.

Reading the #DurhamReport and, as I suspected it would be, it takes a blowtorch to the FBI's conduct in the #CrossfireHurricane investigation. The incompetence, if not outright venality, of key #FBI officials as outlined in this report is a Godsend for #Trump and his supporters. Now, any federal indictment of Trump for either #J6 related crimes or his #classifieddocuments scandal will be seen, by his supporters & right-wing media, as inherently illegitimate, no matter how strong the evidence. 🤬
