I was struck by the one of the #Firefox colorpicker options and thought it might be interesting to share what I see with #deuteranopia (my particular color blindness). For me, the colors inside the box are practically indistinguishable.
It's always hard for me to answer the question, "what do you see?" - I think some people assume I see grey instead of color. But that's not the case - it's just that colors run together for me. I see color but my pallet is less diverse.

Those of us with colour blindness, do you use colour correction on your devices? I fiddled with it on my #pixel and now that plasma wayland supports it, I'm considering turning it on.

Today I learned you can "select by color" in #gimp and that lets me isolate specific aspects of our town published maps. I couldn't interpret the maps before, which I think is partly because I'm I have a #deuteranopia #color-seeing deficiency, but also because it is DENSE.
My goal is to turn this PDF into a legible, filterable map.

Hey, has anyone ever checked what color normal little discrete LEDs are seen as being by colorblind people? (not the special ones in LED TV's and screens)
Given (unless I'm mistaken!) they often emit a different spectra than the combination of RGB phosphors/subpixels that—trichromats at least—see as being equivalent!

This week's #MapPromptMonday is about making #colorblind friendly maps (which I like, having a bit of #deuteranopia). Here is a #map of peruvians abroad, using the #OpenData from RENIEC, and having fun with a Mollweide projection, and using the "Peru" color for my country 😃
