I have never (knowingly) seen a teal, red, yellow or orange USB port. But, given I'm #colourblind anyway, they might as well all be USB-C 🤷‍♂️

I have quite a strong colour vision deficiency. One way it affects me is that I often miss red text on a dark or green background.
I used to have an app on my phone that would shift colours from the camera, so that I could at least see where the colour changes, if not give it a name. At some point that app stopped working with new versions of Android

This morning, while the kids were playing Minecraft, I spent a few minutes making a little web page that shows your webcam feed, and applies a hue-rotate filter to it. Nice and simple!

@gsuberland hard nope on that: utter shit UX for people who are #colourblind.

There are three guys with CVD in my network team, a statistical anomaly for sure, but 1 in 12 men are colourblind, and 1 in 200 women.

I quite enjoyed the email.wtf quiz that’s doing the rounds (11/21, must try harder!) but couldn’t tell if I got some of the questions wrong or right. The text of most responses makes it reasonably obvious, but not all.

Crikey! How best should we exploit this knowledge? Don't make interfaces with green-for-good? Use blue instead? Or is there a shade of turquoise that's a safe bet? Or have I got the wrong end of the string?

I find it genuinely amusing (I am not aggrieved, or being snarky!) that Channel 4 TV in the UK is using #positivelyPurple as its tagline for #inclusivity, #accessibility and #disability rights activism
