Ahmad, pictured in the first image, provides for two sisters, Ola & Areej. Areej has severe dental issues and has lived in pain for a long time. Eating was torture for her. Ahmad has recently undertaken to procure care for Areej, even though he doesn't have the funding for it. Already, she has had to miss treatments due to lack of payment.

Root Canals Suck
One fine workday, I requested to work from home. Some kind of premonition, perhaps.
And it so happened that I began getting a toothache. It got unbearable throughout the day. No amount of gargling would alleviate it.
It became an emergency of sorts. Luckily, there was a dentist’s nearby. I literally ran toward said clinic.
There was no crowd, what with it being a workday and all. The dentist took one quick look and said, “Your tooth is infected!” And that the infection’s spreading to the neighbouring teeth as well.
They needed to perform a root canal to remove the infection.
2 local anaesthesia injections, 2 hours of the dentist rummaging through my jaws, ₹7,000, some filling in my teeth, and an immense amount of pain later, I walked out of the clinic head down, holding another prescription for pills in my hand that I had yet to buy.
And what’s more- he ain’t done yet. Apparently, he needs to place a crown over the tooth to protect it permanently.
Even now, I’m worried about the 7000 rupees lol.
At least he didn’t pluck my tooth out.
