Tras varios días atascado en el laberíntico mapa de #Dandara, por fin he conseguido avanzar un poco en la historia. Me suele pasar en los #Metroidvania, me pierdo y me frustro por no saber por dónde continuar.

Hacia mucho que, por falta de tiempo o de ganas, no comenzaba un videojuego. He podido empezar a jugar #Dandara y, por el momento, me ha gustado porque le da una vuelta extra a un género tan trillado como los #Metroidvania. Creo que lo terminaré, además no parece demasiado largo (cosa que le da puntos extra).

Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition is a 2D pixel-art Metroidvania platformer.

It's not like any other platformer I've played. Instead of running and jumping, as Dandara, you fire yourself from surface to surface, but only the surfaces that are covered in salt.

As you move around the map, the map is moving relative to you as well, sometimes rotating through 90 or 180 degrees.

After the first couple of levels familiarising you with the controls, the Metroidvania aspect of the game starts to reveal itself, as you make your way back and forth through multiple areas to activate switches to raise and lower platforms covered in salt so you can traverse to the end of the level.

You also find yourself armed, to shoot environmental threats and mobs.

Unfortunately, it just didn't grab me. I found myself watching the timer waiting for the 15 minutes to be up.

Remember a couple of weeks back I finished Dandara at about 13 hours. Well today I got 100% at 20 hours.

That means "visit every room and open every chest". Tonight I'll probably try to take on the final boss for true ending. Apparently I got false ending last time.

This is the most fun I've had with a game in a long time.

Did you #play #Dandara? I've only played the first bit but this game is amazing.. I think it's on multiple platforms, I'm playing it on android and is works with both a controller or tuch..

Get on it for a great 2D metroidvania style pixel-graphic #game..
