It feels like first alpha version or something - mechanics cut short, level design very repetitive, the dialog options are quite nominal.
But the game is good. I had fun. It’s not actually a Dragon Age 2, though. Inquisition is, and this was a story prequel.

Playtime: 23mOpus Magnum is a programming-puzzle game from Zachtronics. If you've encountered a Zachtronics game before, they're pretty much all along these lines. Well, they were along these lines, because in collecting some details about Opus Magnum, I learned that Zachtronics is no longer making games.
There are only a handful of Zachtronics games I don't own at this point. Infinifactory is on my wishlist, and Last Call BBS is available on Xbox Game Pass.
Opus Magnum is a puzzle game about programming and... alchemy?
Indeed, in Opus Magnum you build and program small machines to make increasingly complex alchemical formulae.
It's also a dangerous game for me, because it features my Kryptonite: systemisation & optimisation.
I've lost countless hours in these types of games just trying to systemise my processes.
But, as I discovered, Opus Magnum has a slightly keener edge. It has leaderboards. Not only am I trying to optimise my designs, but I can see that @tomcat is beating me.
It's a good thing I'm in a shooty shooty mood today instead of an optimisation mood, or I could see the rest of my day disappearing in this quirky little puzzle game.
The UX is a *little* bit confusing at first. It's not entirely clear how to start the first project. I clicked around on screen for a couple of minutes before unintentionally double-clicking on something I'd clicked on several times, but other than that, it seems pretty straightforward.
Opus Magnum seems:

Playtime: 49mNorthgard is a real-time strategy game about Vikings. Slightly cartoonish Vikings, but Vikings all the same.
Having watched his father the King, and clan slaughtered, Rig the now-very-angry seeks vengeance, by way of taking several years to build one single village, to build a longboat, and set sail to Northgard, where his father's killer has gone to invade and colonise.
I get that the seasons are a necessary part of the RTS process of this game, but it took three years of in-game time to get to the point I could follow the guy across the ocean.
He could be dead by now, for all I know. OK, he probably isn't, but still.
In any case, build a building to process wood, assign villagers, build a scout building, train scouts, etc etc.
The game has its own charm, but on the surface it appears to be a pretty run-of-the-mill strategy game.
Not going to complain, but not itching to jump back in.

Playtime: 24mNot For Broadcast is, apparently, a "propaganda simulator". When I bought this, I thought it was a mid-1980's TV studio broadcast simulator, which is, technically, true.
What I learned, very quickly, is that I don't want to play a TV studio broadcast simulator. Nor would I want to work in one.
I love the craft of making TV. I've spent hours upon hours listening to a podcast about showrunning.
Live TV? No. Too many moving parts that I had to pay attention to, and I ended up more stressed out than I was when I sat down to play.
It's a well-produced game, and reading up on it afterwards, it has an interesting storyline, but playing it through would just feel like hard work. It's times like this I wish you could gift a Steam game to someone who'd actually enjoy it.
Will I play Not For Broadcast again?
1: Nope.
