I chose the “classic” route 110 mile (180k)and finished with 13800 ft (4200m) of climbing in my legs.

Very pleased with the time and a couple of top ten #strava segments.

We were blessed with a grey, foggy day that hung so thick the tarmac was wet. But most certainly on the cooler side.

Yesterday was a day of days for me. I’ve been working towards this gravel ride all year long and I am more than happy with the day.

D2R2 is a fund raising gravel ride by a #Massachusetts non-profit, Franklin Land Trust.

All throughout the ride there were signs showing the land with permanent conservation restrictions. A very worthwhile cause given how fast our open spaces are disappearing in this state. 🧵
