    THROUGH 315 PM PDT...

    At 245 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
    thunderstorm extending from Cuyama to west of Lockwood Valley.

    HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. Some dry
    lightning strikes are likely.

    SOURCE...Radar indicated.

    IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
    unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
    possible. Dry lightning strikes on periphery of storms
    could cause new fire ignitions.

    Locations impacted include...
    Cuyama...
    Ventucopa...
    and Highway 33 from Lockwood Valley Road to the Santa Barbara County
    line.

    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

    The Gifford Fire is actively burning along Highway 166, near the Cuyama Corridor. Smoke is visible throughout the area.

    Evacuation Orders have been issued for the area south of Highway 166, east of Willow Springs trailhead, and west of Cottonwood Canyon Rd. Residents should leave now. See image below of area under Evacuation Order.
    For sheltering assistance, please call the American Red Cross at 805-678-3073.
    This is a dynamic situation. Residents should maintain awareness and monitor for potential changing conditions.
    Highway 166 is now closed between Highway 101 and New Cuyama. Avoid traveling in this area, unless you are evacuating the area.
