  1. The #CSCW2022 paper "Leveraging Structured Trusted-Peer Assessments to Combat #Misinformation" by @farnaz et al. is one of the best #HCI papers I've read in a long time - we need more research like this! dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/3555637

Loren Terveen and I are taking over as general chairs for #CSCW2023 and the planning is already well underway with the help of this awesome organizing committee! @cscw is a @sigchi conference focused on collaborative and social computing, and after our third virtual conference in a row, we are looking forward to welcoming folks back in person next year in Minneapolis! cscw.acm.org/2023/

  4. Do you think the ethical reputation of a company impacts whether graduating #computerscience students will take a job there?

    This question was part of an exploratory study for (CU Boulder CS undergrad alum) Ella Sarder's honors thesis, now published as a poster at #CSCW2022. She interviewed 12 graduating students about factors they consider in the job search, how they define a “good” or “bad” company to work for, and how perceptions of ethics impact their choices.

  6. While figuring out Mastodon, thought it might be a great first post to share our (w/ Marawin, Siyun, Ryan, and @depstein) #CSCW2022 work on studying the everyday use of personal Informatics data stickers on ephemeral social media!

  7. This #CSCW2022 paper from Kim et al. noted that the fairly recent change to allow users to directly see all QTs of a tweet might cultivate an atmosphere of criticism by calling attention to call-outs. (i.e., because you see a tweet you don't like, and then you have immediate access to all the QTs with criticism.) dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/3555575

  14. Oh hey look at that - this paper of mine finally got published!! It examines how the feminization and devaluation of #mentalhealth structures the experiences of therapy workers — both on and off #telehealth #gigwork platforms. #cscw2022 dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/3555166 Co-authored with my lovely advisors, Silvia Lindtner and Casey Pierce.
