    It was quite wary, with this being a significant crop from about 50m or so away.

  5. The main reason for the Ikara-Flinders visit was to revisit the #YellowFootedRockWallaby colony in Brachina Gorge. Aside from Numbat (which I've only glimpsed for a second or two), this is definitely my favourite Australian #mammal.

    And there were three other #macropod species we don't see here in Canberra - #CommonWallaroo, #RedKangaroo and #WesternGreyKangaroo.

    The male red kangaroo was in Brookfield Conservation Park where sadly the Southern Hairy-nosed Wombats didn't show themselves.
