I really think we should be encouraging academics to see Wikipedia editing as a core part of their role. You say that knowledge curation and dissemination is your thing? I've had a go at adding a very rough simulation of colour vision deficiency to my colour palette maker, so I don't accidentally pick colours that look fine for me but are indistinguishable to someone with different colour vision.
I spent 10 minutes looking up perceptual models of CVD then gave up and just did what Firefox dev tools does and scaled down the R, G or B components 😅

Monkey beetles are just cool and fascinating (and often colourful). And those regions of South Africa seem to have a higher than expected number of these red and orange flowers that are not particularly visible to bees. Is there some sort of coevolution between monkey beetles and flowers? #ColourVision
