TLDR - #oil #car companies #colluded to use #chip #shortage as an excuse to drive up prices even if production decreased. #tesla did the opposite; increased production without sacrificing prices; rapid #growth in #sales => #profits => high stock price => #musk is #richest => uses that to trash #twitter and #us #democracy

Imagine if all #clothing brands #colluded to only sell pants with one leg, in the future. They might say:

> If you want two pant legs, just buy two compabitible ones.

This is how we feel about computer manufacturers not including #DVD drives.
