A coding problem that sounded simple, but to implement it with good performance was quite a challenge::

Given a number n, find the next number m where m > n, with m containing the same digits as n

So given 12 this would be 21
113 -> 131
534987 -> 537489
111 -> no solution, -1, error or whatever

EDIT: changed the solution of example for 534987
