The United Nations General Assembly voted Wednesday to support a landmark ruling from the International Court of Justice, which found that states have a legal responsibility to act to prevent the climate crisis from worsening. More than two-thirds of U.N. member states, 141, voted in favor of the measure, with 28 abstaining and 8 voting no.
