    TIL: #FossilSubsidies is not only a big thing in The Netherlands, but worldwide!

    7% of global GDP is spent on fossil subsidies. For comparison: 4.3% of global GDP is spent on education.

    Countering fossil fuel subsidies would not only offer a chance to put humanity back on track to meet its #ClimateGoals, but could also prevent 1.6 million premature deaths per year and increase government revenues by $4.4 trillion, according to the IMF.
