While I was unloading free firewood, thanks to the city of #NorthBendWa, three deer were on their usual route 30 ish ft away.
I watched fog brewing just above the snow pack. 5 inches at our place.

Just got home from Safeway #Cleelum this hour. Two milks & honey equaled $62 bucks at Ucheck. Things went GREAT till we figured out we were in some sort of scam. Our bank gave us info on way to car. Crazy!

Looks like we picked up 8 (?) inches of snow overnight here in #cleElum. 29 degrees at hill side weather station.
My extended Forcast ends on Sat Jan 10 th with 34 degrees for a forcast low. The average low for much of Jan is 25 degrees. Yes, 9 degrees warmer which continues the trend my eye balls have been witnessing . :(

We just now got home from #Cleelum Wa.
Snoqualmie Pass had micro waterfalls much of the way down the pass. Pouring rain with wipers on medium. Most folks were in center lane going 60 mph. It did feel like a safe trip too. 43 degrees on pass. #pnw

MANY many homes along the Yakima River #cleelum area are experiencing flooding. In my humble view / remember I'm a digital gadfly, the earth dams are NOT built for the type of weather event were enduring.
The reservoir info pinned here is misleading.
I drove by Lake Keechelus Tuesday. The lake was 3/4 empty as expected yet the river was ripping ...
Remember, people are angered (#FB) knowing they were told to not water last summer etc. :(

I tested my portable fire pump on Sunday. Made no mistakes on start up. Plus my old Harbor Freight pump started on the 1st pull. (All new gas really helped.)

My #toot here may not have much of a lower carbon / going forward feel but as a dad watching his tech bro son, I'm proud non the less.
My oldest bought a 30 ft used travel trailer to introduce his family to a style of camping he grew up with.
Friday, he pulled his trailer over Snoqualmie Pass with his cyber truck. Near #cleelum he charged with solar. Trailer has 7 panels he just installed too.
Anyhow, were headed to Canada ( next door neighbor) in June. I'm excited! New sights no big jet travel for a group of nine.

Wednesday was a fun day for me. Neighbor & I took a short drive to my cabin hang out. I quickly plowed / Terry shoveled. We went on a mile wilderness looking snowshoe route then drove to another area & hiked the acreage around my sister's place.

I was one of the supervisors guiding some of the bigger forest fire protection projects at our place. ( Fall 2024) Boss, in Genie, was not having it with my trim it, don't save it attitude. Like California, we're sitting ducks waiting for a big burn... :(

Visited my sister in #CleElum and met a couple #deer. Held the phone just barely over her perimeter fence, these guys were enjoying an apple tree on the far side of it.

The younger was *very* curious about me, but ma said to stay away from the weird disembodied phone watching them.
