Last was a nice talk by Rishi Bommasani on the societal impact of #LLMs and multi-modal models at #CITP Princeton. Starting out with an intro to #AI auditing more broadly, Mokander identifies the gaps in these approaches when applied to LLMs and introduces a compelling toolkit. Next was a wonderful panel on the future of global digital #governance @ #CITP with Ed Felten, Monica Greco, hci.social's own @andresmh who gives a #mastodon shout-out, & Anne-Marie Slaughter. This is a true cross disciplinary panel, hitting #HCI, #politics, & #law (would've loved some social science folks!), and I think the conversation demonstrates how much farther these fields have to come to truly understand where we're all coming from.
