    Sitting at LEX waiting to my first flight to Vegas, baby! I'll be at the #ASEE #CIEC conference, presenting our new department and curriculum. For a bit of day-drinking, the pub has a German Pilsner made by Versailles Brewing Company right around the corner from here. Pretty good stuff. Did not know they had one. Cheers!

    championne mondiale de 2023 dans sa production électrice engendrant le moins d'effet sur le réchauffement climatique, la Suède et ses 16grammes d'équivalent CO2, à comparer sur #ElectricityMap:

    Sans oublier que le gros de l'énergie que l'on consomme en France n'est PAS de l'électricité, et a elle, des impacts autrement plus élevés car étant de sources fossiles: pétrole, charbon, gaz, fioul.

    Ces sources fossiles représentent 80% de ce qu'utilisent les Français. On est a 2000 TWh de fossiles pour 500TWh d'électricité.

    Go électrifier les usages et faire du report modal de tranports vers des outils partagés et très bas carbone! Comme le rapporte le #CIEC cela permet une réduction des impacts sur les limites planétaires, cela réduit l'extraction jusqu'à un cuinquième de ce qui est extrait actuellement et permet une réduction massive des émissions de gaz à effet de serre, ainsi que de nombreux autres polluants.

    Se chauffer à l'électricité au lieu du bois à par exemple d'énormes bénéfices sur la santé tant à l'échelle du foyer qu'à l'échelle globale.
