At the beginning of the year, #PortlandCiderCompany added Pear Lychee to its year-round lineup, a cocktail-inspired cider created with pear and lychee that had previously been released as a small-batch specialty #cider. The company sent me samples to review; it’s packaged in both 12-ounce and 19.2-ounce cans.

#2TownsCiderhouse rounded out its seasonal #cider series for 2025 with Sled Zeppelin, a winter (Christmas) limited cider made with cranberries and cinnamon. It’s definitely a festive cider, with 6.9% ABV, and don’t think you should only enjoy this for the holidays (despite the Heavy Metal Santa on the label) — it’s one to drink through the winter as availability allows.

#PortlandCiderCompany’s fall releases make for some good holiday drinking, particularly its newest imperial seasonal, Blood Orange Pomegranate. The company highlighted four ciders for the fall, and sent me samples to review. All four would make good additions to your holiday drinks menu, so let’s straight into reviews.

Here are my reviews delving into the new fall ciders from #SchillingCider, with the latest in its Excelsior series of imperial ciders, and the returning fall seasonal crafted with a chai tea blend—Imperial Hyper-Dry and Chaider, respectively.

Two new #cider reviews, featuring fruited flavors from #SchillingHardCider which the company had sent me to sample: Strawbeary Rhube Awakening (a name that leans heavily on the graphic design of the label) and Grapefruit and Chill. I found both to hit the target on the flavors each brings to the party.

Time for some #cider reviews, featuring a selection of fruited ciders from #PortlandCiderCompany! I’d received these ciders previously and rather than just reviewing them myself, I shared them with family for their feedback in a bit of crowdsourcing.

Hood River’s #DoubleMountainBrewery revamped the look for its line of #ciders this year, one that is inspired by matchbook designs from the 1940s and 1950s according to the press release. Along with the new designs, the brewery slated six ciders for release this year, and sent me three to review.
