It's imperative that we follow this trail of science all the way through to the end.
We can hope it's disproved, but ignoring it will leave us headed in the direction of disaster: debilitating, chronic, irreversible health conditions — or what some are calling a "mass-disabling event."

There has already been massive profiteering from #COVID19 minimizers who dispensed snake oil for the acute phase (one ivermectin case just hit the courts). If one wants to prevent harm/profiteering in #LongCOVID, then one should not downplay its existence as a #nosological entity. Using the term along with the formal #PASC or even #ChronicCovid may be the price to pay for the long phase of the COVID19 disease to be viewed as a disease entity, with features distinct from the acute phase.
