I’m preparing a conference talk based on a recent publication (see below!). It’s a lot of work, because I have to start from scratch, so I would be sad to present it just once. Are you interested in #TheoreticalEcology and
#EcologicalModelling in general and/or #BushEncroachment of #savanna systems in particular? Then please get in touch! I would be happy to give a virtual seminar! -

Which herbivores escape predation and might hence control woody vegetation (aka #BushEncroachment)? Obviously those that are too many, too big or too mobile. And Fire. Fire is essentially a herbivore!
My mind has just been blown by the next keynote lecture at #PopBio2023. 🤯. Lots of inspiration for future projects thanks to William Bond!

Very happy to see that my colleague Britta Tietjen (@btietjen )
has just joined us here on the 🐘 side!Follow her for #TheoreticalEcology
#EcologicalModelling
#AgentBasedModels
#Biodiversity
#EcosystemFunction #ClimateChange
#Landuse
etcWithout her support, our latest paper on #BushEncroachment in #Savanna systems would never have seen the light of day...

I'm new here! 😀
Still no clue how this works, but I'll give it my best shot and advertise our latest paper: "Livestock management promotes #BushEncroachment in #savanna systems by altering #plant–#herbivore feedback"
This paper is in fact a twitter collaboration, so it's kind of sad to see so many people leaving twitter... Hope you enjoy reading it!
