#FCP 12. Analysis for Visual Search fully completed. No search returns any matches. Upon restart of FCP and retrying, FCP hangs for a minute or two on search, and then returns nothing anyway. New install of Tahoe 26.2 on a new Mac Studio M4 Max 🤷

For some time now, to switch to the Browser and actually see the playing source footage in #FCP, I need to move the cursor there. Just switching with a kbd shortcut only plays audio. Focus switches there but image in Viewer doesn't. This is a new, fresh install of both FCP and MacOS on a new Mac but happens on my other Macs too. Not new in version 12. Been the case for some months. Maybe related to Tahoe (26.2 now)?

So iPhone is now telling me my own MP3s manually synced via Finder are "unavailable in your region". And yes Apple Music is turned off on both devices.

None of my wife's Apple devices auto-update. Not apps, nor OS updates.

- autoupdates are enabled. Turning them off and on doesn't fix the issue.
- devices are new (16 Pro and M4 iPad Pro) and/or and fully supported (M1 Air)
- this is going on for years
- no network weirdness or other hacks on her devices, even on previous phone and iPad
- plenty of disk space on all of them
- signing out and in of Apple ID doesn't fix

I have absolutely no idea what's going on.

I wanted to buy some fountain pen stuff online. I missed the required gender field, because pens have no gender. I chose the second option and hit submit. I found out later that being returned to the blank form without error messages was the success state. #BugMagnet #PensHaveNoGender

Cool bug in #Resolve 20.2.1 - AI transcripts are not being retained. When I open an already transcribed transcript, it transcribes again, making the entire thing useless.

EDIT: the trancription is actually still there, it just doesn't show without wanting to transcribe again (it shows after cancelling the transcription). Jesus Christ.

If anyone knows a way to display the transcription without going to "AI Tools - Transcribe", I'm all ears.

#FCPX 11.1.1 on Sequoia 15.6.1 started hanging on every launch, regardless which library is getting open (even completely newly created ones). Sometimes it helps to open the library file while holding Optinstead of launching the app, but not always.

Resetting prefs, reinstalling FCPX or revalidating AUs don't help.

I can't exit the night/bedtime mode on my #applewatch by holding the crown. It goes straight to the UI when starting the hold. There is NO bed icon in the watch control center, nor can it be added. No focus mode is enabled, either on the watch or the phone.

On my wife's Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, MBA), auto-updating of the OS and apps doesn't work at all, everything has to be updated manually. And no, turning it off and on again doesn't work :)

In #FCPX 11.1, applying the naming preset "Original camera name" does not, in fact, apply the original camera name. Literally nothing happens.

Other preset such as Clip Date/Time work as expected.

Not good.

I'm convinced many if not most of my weird bugs are due to either system locale or language, or something like that.

I don't think companies get a ton of bug reports by users from small regions (Czech in my case), so they just never get fixed. Apple has had some very local bugs like this, and there's a bug in Firefox in Czech on MacOS that's been ignored for almost 20 years. And yes I do report these, all the time :)

#FCPX bug, years old, unfixed. Sometimes, snapshots just do not get created.

This is a new library created with 11.1. The warnings are because originals aren't available, only proxies. I CAN duplicate.
