President of #Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy speaking at a meeting of the International Coalition for the Return of #Ukrainian Children, condemned Russia’s systematic abduction of Ukrainian children and called for stronger global action to bring them home.
He stressed that almost 50 countries are now united in these efforts. "Almost every month, we see results. Children come home. But many more still need to come home. We must clearly document where the children are, track the full chain of abduction and the cover-up of this crime, bring the children back, and help them find themselves again and return to normal life."

Our Foreign Intelligence has located specific addresses of Ukrainian children abducted by the russian terrostate.
We are providing our partners with lists of children who must be returned.
This is a sensitive issue, with a great deal of quiet diplomatic work underway.
To foil any Russian attempt to claim they supposedly know nothing about these children, we are ensuring that addresses are included as well.
The first such list – containing over 300 surnames, first names, and addresses of abducted children – will be on the desks of all the leaders assisting in this effort.

On August 5, the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children issued a joint statement to Russia: immediately and unconditionally return the Ukrainian children identified by Ukraine on 2 June 2025.
Eight weeks have passed since #Ukraine submitted an initial list of unlawfully deported or forcibly transferred children. Moscow has refused to cooperate or propose any credible mechanism for their return.
It is a binding legal obligation under international law, including the Geneva Conventions & the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The Coalition’s message:
➡️ Return the children now, without delay or conditions
➡️ Provide full, verifiable information on all deported children’s whereabouts, well-being, and legal status
➡️ End the manipulation of their identities through forced citizenship changes, illegal adoptions, militarization & indoctrinationEvery unlawfully taken Ukrainian child must be retuned; our commitment will not waver.

Ukraine has officially handed over to Russia a list of deported Ukrainian children. Now it’s time for Russia to act.
On June 2, 2025, during negotiations in Istanbul, Ukraine transferred to the Russian side a list of thousands of Ukrainian children who had been illegally deported to Russia, forcibly transferred within the temporarily occupied territories, or held there against their will.
This step follows Ukraine’s confirmation during the March 11 meeting in Jeddah with the United States of its readiness to implement a 30-day ceasefire.
If Moscow is serious about peace, it must prove it not with words, but with actions – beginning with the return of these children.

Today, February 18, 2022, marks FOUR
years before Russian tanks crossed Ukraine’s borders, Moscow-controlled occupation authorities systematically began deporting children. By February 19, 2022, more than 2,800 children had already been kidnapped, forcibly transferred to Russia.The fact that these deportations started before the full-scale invasion clearly exposes their true purpose: a premeditated war crime aimed at erasing Ukrainian identity. These children were not just taken – they were subjected to forced assimilation, placed in Russian foster families, and made victims of a deliberate campaign of cultural erasure.
Tens of thousands remain in Russian captivity. We will not stop until every Ukrainian child abducted by Russia is brought back home.
No exceptions. No conditions.

18 лютого 2022 року. В цей день росія почала масову депортацію українських дітей. Їх грузили в автобуси та вивозили на територію рф. За 6 днів до повномастабного вторгнення росія сплановано та методично почала втілення в життя жахливого злочину, який і досі щоденно чинить проти наших дітей.
Ворог цинічно називає це евакуацією через небезпеку. Проте саме рф створила та продовжує створювати цю небезпеку.
Депортація – це не евакуація. Це воєнний злочин, за який росія має понести відповідальність. А кожна викрадена українська дитина має повернутись додому. Без винятків та умов.

Ще один ґрунтовний доказ російських воєнних злочинів проти України й українців – дослідження Yale HRL. Дослідники Єльського університету ідентифікували сотні українських дітей із Донецької та Луганської областей, яких викрала Росія з лютого 2022 року, а також місця їхнього перебування та маршрути депортації.
148 юних українців уже є в російських базах даних із розміщення дітей, 42 з них усиновлені, взяті під опіку або мають призначеного російського опікуна. Ще 166 дітей розміщено в російських сім’ях. Звіт показує всьому світу, на що йде Росія, щоб стерти українську ідентичність. Наскільки системною є її політика в цьому напрямі.
Україна постійно працює над тим, щоб наші діти повернулися додому, а всі винні в жахливому злочині викрадення були покарані. Це складний виклик, але ми робимо все необхідне, і ми вдячні всім, хто нам допомагає. Кожній країні, організації, лідеру – політичному та громадському. Тільки разом можемо відновити справедливість, яку Росія порушила в такому масштабі, захистити майбутнє українських дітей і повернути їх додому.
