Alex Chan: Creating a static website for all my bookmarks. “It’s taken hundreds of hours to get all my bookmarks and saved web pages into this new site, and it’s taught me a lot about archiving and building the web. This post is the first of a four-part series about my bookmarks, and I’ll publish the rest of the series over the next three weeks.”

Well, I just cleared out 40 open tabs and was able to label them knowing that they'd be sent to collections and I'd be able to look at them in that way. This is going to streamline my browser usage in a big way.
It's like having an RSS feed but that's just my bookmarks. I can tell this is getting a coveted Pinned spot.

Musing with my geeky friend, I brought up that I might try out @readeck because I have a setup via PikaPods for my audiobook server and at under €2 to test it out for a month, might as well, right?
Holy. Crap.
I am a visual person. I have bookmarks going back centuries. They do nothing but sit there because I don't remember what they were for and the folders that I put them in are helpful like 30% of the time.
This might be my new favourite thing because I can have new bookmarks autoprop to a Collection based on labels. I can wipe my bookmarks that I currently have and do a regular export and upload to keep up, and I can SEE thumbnails of what those bookmarks are.
And I can export them if the project ever stops being updated.
We'll see if I'm still as enamoured on day 30 as I am on day 1, but I can see this being the way for my brain to bookmark.
