  1. "Our current main version of LoRes Node is using P2Panda 0.4, and meanwhile the Panda folks have gone off to attempt to battletest as part of a grant to develop Reflection, which is a local-first text editor for GNOME ..."

  2. Living on the bleeding edge 🔪 again 🙂

    Kernel: Linux 6.17.0-0.rc4.250903.e6b9dce0.236.vanilla.fc42.x86_64 (Built **TODAY**)

    Linux-Firmware: 20250903 (Today's git snapshot)

Everyhing stable so far :) Fixed some quite annoying amdgpu bug with my Radeon 780M RDNA3 iGPU 🙂

  3. Sometimes the stars align and you can push out something really fast.

Proxmark3 client now supports sharing json dumpfiles.

Working together with KevTheHermit and his proxdump.com , it also support MQTT

  4. Oh my...

git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/k, introduced because 'this gets rid of the bulk of the annoying warnings during an allmodconfig build for me', causes `/usr/local/src/kernel/linux-git/drivers/acpi/tables.c:399:1: error: ‘nonstring’ attribute ignored on objects of type ‘const char[][4]’ [-Werror=attributes]` for me.

No spoons to re-subscribe to lkml and report this though.

  5. Never change a running system. #bleedingedge #not #intellij #development #ide #inotify #produktivity

  7. not sure if new, but i am getting a lot of leaks in Xcode 16.1… only thing here are my #SwiftData model objects, and i am sure I am just using standard relationships between them.

Also props to #xcode tooling for making loops/leaks so obvious. II think it's downgrade time

EDIT: Not new. Happens when using 18.0. It also happens on iPadOS 17.7, so it isn't new to 18. I only noticed because I am testing more data set types now.

  8. @sbisson I followed the instructions Microsoft provided talking about the DirectML and how to install the pre-alpha NPU drivers from Qualcomm... and it messed up AI features related to camera/microphone

So I rolled back to the previous driver and all is back to normal. Oddly though I looked on the Qualcomm website and the pre-alpha NPU drivers are no longer available for download. hmmm... maybe they noticed some quality issues 🤔

  9. I was authoritatively told today that corduroy is only cool if you were born between 1970 and 1979.

    *checks notes*

    Yep. It’s cool.

  10. I updated my phone to iOS 18. I guess it's time to start porting my app to iOS 18! Jokes aside, I just haven't bothered with testing out any of the betas as there simply isn't anything at all interesting in iOS 18 for a developer. I guess there are a few small view modifiers in SwiftUI that may be of interest, but that's all. A boring update isn't bad though, it just means the product is mature and Apple isn't innovating (aka breaking) much.

  15. @v89 #Fedora is usually the #bleedingedge, incorporates the latest pieces of #software and works stable. I used it for years with success. Could be al little bit tricky with confusing #update strategy but nevertheless ..

  16. Oggi ho installato #DebianSid con interfaccia #LXQt.
LXQt è diventato il mio DE su
#ArchLinux e mi ci sto trovando molto bene.
So perfettamente che potrei andare incontro a dei problemi ma questa installazione è solo un test e non ho nulla di importante sopra, sicuramente mi insegnerà qualcosa.
    Vediamo come va

  17. Random #selfhost #mastoadmin question. How much of a risk is following and running the nightly #Mastodon track? (Currently at 4.3).
    Is it still relatively stable?
Ever had any major issues (ie. required at worst a re-install or lost historical data?)

    Curious...

  18. Ouch!😖

Seems like I've just cut myself at the bleeding edge of #Bevy #BevyEngine 🩸

When you use `InputPlugin` in your unit test and do a press on an input, the `just_pressed` state get's cleared after calling `app.update()`😬:

The workaround is to manually insert the Input resources.😌

    See an example here:
    github.com/bevyengine/bevy/blo

    Issue is already known:

  20. Mastodon admins, prepare yourselves, 4.1.6 is coming github.com/mastodon/mastodon/p

Also, rumor has it a proper 4.2.0 beta release is coming this week too.

#vmstio members are so far beyond beta you don't even need to worry about it. #BleedingEdge

  21. Just pushed a recent update to Mastodon that merges "Local" and "Federate" tabs in the navigation sidebar into "Live feeds" where Local, Remote and All become options under that.

I think this is a good change, that is less confusing overall.

#vmstio might be the only place running this in production right now since the changes were committed to the project ... 26 minutes ago #BleedingEdge
