how to get this working

for decades media outlets have been whining about #socialmedia cutting their revenues.

while this platform needs momentum (#musk acquiring #twitter wont suffice and i doubt @janboehm will change that) and capacity.

#mastodon could become somewhat of a real alternative, if it makes a pact with the devil

although, trough its #foss nature there isnt really a need for a faustian pact.

but the community will have to embrace, even encourage media outlets, unfortunately the bigger the better to create their own #instance|s. i am no expert on how much alteration is possible under the used license, but yes this is the #devil part...

...allowing a "customized corporate user experience" all the while staying a really big interoperable tent

i know this isnt what some expect, but with huge fish such as #facebook and #twitter you would really have to make the cut-the-middle-man-case for this to become more than just niche.

the only other way i could see, would be regulation, which would be perfectly fine with me to; a obligation towards interoperability.

and btw. i ve been trying for ages to get my surroundings to use #signal but guess what is still installed on my phone... f*** #whatsapp

and dont get me wrong when i can get quite trilled, when i hear of any foss project gaining momentum, and then i see how it needs bigbusiness to push it and the result to be some sh1tshow like #android that #google has brought us... breaks my heart every time, but still better than the alternative, isnt it?
