I have been worried a bit about the absence of our beloved Beige :bb: master.
I knew they needed some personal time. But the instance hasn't been updated in quite a while...
And while it still works now...
I see many more Beige folks sharing their alt accounts.
My three main accounts are all on Beige....
I have a Friendica account that I occasionally use to boost friends toots with (and my own).
I guess this could count as my alternative account, should Beige ever go black........

I guess the one thing that I can be happy about in terms of my shadow banning by the kryptozionist at jdh is that even with the more than a year of non-visibility I still gained followers and for me followers are a measurement of how I am doing with my own walls and masks and traumas. The more intense I get the easier it is for me to lose followers
And I am starting to learn about where the intensity ends up being most difficult because of this biofeedback
Having been born into politics it was always very important that I not offend people and not embarrass the family
Two things at which I fail miserably, while making it my main goal to not do so...after being loving and faithful and truthful**
Those three things tend to get in the way with people who don't have good intent so it's a good way of quickly separating myself from the goats as a genuine lamb
And it's penance all at the same time
And Lord knows I need that
"Wicked as I am"***
So, back to my gratitude
I got desensitized from my conditioned compulsion to be liked... AND was able to help my behavior get elevated past autistic reactiveness a little bit in the world and not of it perhaps, as was evidenced by my consistent, but admittedly slower growth of followers at jdh
And I can relax here because now that I'm more searchable I'm picking up followers everyday
That might change when I have a better handle on how I want to speak about things like Palestine sexual identity and especially things like faith but it's less of an issue because of the boot camp I was at before I came to beige's party

**After having to leave the state of California for colorado(thanks to being in a stroller having to endure excoriation from perfect strangers because of slander on the news about my mother's father,) where my dad's father was a broadcaster with the maximum FCC allowed amount of radio stations he could own, because he figured out that radio waves could go through mountains if they were low on the am band earlier than most, when we returned I was so afraid of screwing things up as a.. maybe 9 year old? That I decided my only option was to want to be a saint that way if I was being criticized by someone I didn't even know for something I never did I was at least protected by the truth and I did have a feeling of God at the time. That has come back, by the way.. I don't talk about it much because I got home to my mother at the kitchen sink and I told her that I wanted to be a saint and she put her hands down on the sink and look down took a deep breath and said "just. don't. TELL anyone that".. which was great advice even if she was only giving it to me because she knew that I was the typerson that might talk about it, since I would walk up to perfect strangers and asked if they knew who my grandfather was... Which seemed like name-dropping and it later on did turn into that when I ran into people who were impressed by my exalted connections and family I got conditioned to needing it as a crutch, but at the beginning it was about wanting to know if this perfect stranger was going to yell at me or not.

One year ago today, I made my first and only Mastodon account migration, from Dot Social to the esteemed beige.party.
I had been considering a move for some time due to [gestures broadly at Dot Social], and the only place I ever considered was Beige. Many of my longest and most cherished met-on-Fedi mutuals were clustered there—@adhdeanasl, @Alice, @TheBreadmonkey, @the_etrain, @LoganFive, @RickiTarr, and I'm sure others I'm forgetting. And so many more who I've met since making the leap.
There was this tight circle of funny, kind, smart people here that I admired. I got along with them, but I always felt like I was on the periphery. At the party, but not really part of the group. I wanted in.
Well, one year later, I can say I'm still on the periphery, but now I have an @beige.party domain on my user account, too, and they don't know how to kick me out.
Kidding! Kidding. Beige.party isn't just a place for funny people; it is, as I said above, also a digital home to kind people. Everyone gave me a very warm welcome. Almost uncomfortably warm. Made me wonder who was sitting in the welcome before they gave it to me.
All of this is to say, it has been a hell of a year. Thanks to all of you for putting up with me and including me and just being your amazing selves. And thanks to @theropologist for making this weird little corner of the Fediverse for us. #BeigeBless :bb:

When I wanna explore more *not* cult member toots, I click on the instance time line and I get sucked in to the wonderful world of beige.
Sometimes there is imposter syndrome kicking in. Especially when I feel bläh... I don't feel like I'm worthy of being in the presence of all these wonderful people.
Sometimes I don't really get half of what they're saying, making me feel like I'm not "good enough" to be beige...
But all in all... Beige.party thank you for being so awesome!!

Ok, yes, I have been cross-posting many of my toots to Bluesky for the past few weeks, but I want to be crystal clear that I am NOT leaving beige.party. And I’m not saying that because I’m not allowed to leave.
I mean, I am totally allowed to leave. Beige is not a cult.
It’s just that I’m just choosing devotion and unquestioning allegiance. I mean to stay. I’m choosing to stay.
