Think I finally put words to something that’s bugged me about #influencer culture ever since it became a thing. Maybe this was obvious to others, but:

What has been lost in the realm of influencers is trust in their genuine interests. If these people need to be paid to talk about everything, how can we trust their opinions on anything?

For #Bear2, we experimented with a few influencers to help promote it. And at least for me, it was a crummy, demoralizing experience.

I am really digging the ability to resize images stored in a note in the new #Bear2 app.

@kenliecer No encuentro una opción que me convenza en Windows. He probado un montón de ellos, cuyos nombres ya se me han olvidado. Al final, estoy usando #VSCode y personalicé la salida con el preview.

Con los iDevices, prefiero Ulysses, me gusta que pueda personalizar la salida del archivo, cosa que no deja hacer ni #Bear2 o #iAWriter.

Bear 2 is out. I’ve been using the betas for the last few months and I can’t say enough good things. Delightful the whole way through. I live in this app. #bear2

Yo #Bear2 folks: I know #Apple just released public betas of #iOS17 and #macOS14 Sonoma.

Sorry to say this, but if you need Bear 2 (or 1!) to get stuff done, we recommend staying away from the betas, at least on your must-work devices.

It's just too early in the process to play whack-a-mole with all the weird things that break and then maybe get fixed later or maybe we need to fix them or whoops they somehow broke again.

Be safe out there.

#Obsidian is too complicated for me (i dont want to deal with zillions of plugins and updates). Really want to move back to #bear2, single icloud account sync is deal killer. My work computer doesnt allow personal icloud account and ickoud drive. 😣

#Bear2 is not open-source, I know. But it’s still markdown which can be exported. Usability and sync on #Mac and #iOS is chef kiss 😚
I also really like not having to deal with attachements / asset files. Images can just be resized. You can even quickly draw something on the go. 2/2

With the release of #Bear2, here are a few of the most interesting things I got to work on while at Shiny Frog that are now released. I was tasked with upgrading the handwritten drawing support in Bear and started with a Core Graphics drawing engine, eventually transitioned to a Metal rendered drawing engine, and then abandoned all that when PencilKit was released. Here are a few cool features… 👇

¡#Bear2 ya está a puntito de ver la luz! Una actualización más que esperada y que he estado usando unos meses en beta. Para mí es el editor de notas mejor diseñado, con la mejor experiencia y funcionamiento, pero le faltan tres cosas que hacen que siga con #Obsidian:
