  1. Bird's nest Orchid (Neottia nidus-avis) in a Beech wood at Combe Hay, near #Bath. Unlike most other orchids, it produces no chlorophyll. It derives most of its nutrients from a mycorrhizal fungus, which derives its nutrients from trees.
