How dystopian is this image? Young kids going to school, but before they can get into their classes they need to pass through metal detectors and bag searches.

This is the reality of the right wing obsession with guns in the US. Rather than address the root cause, they force schools & businesses to layer in technology and train kids to accept invasive searches on a daily basis. They all know guns are the cause.

Pulled this from #Instagram but I think it is worth sharing. Tax breaks and deregulation of gun silencers, but removal of funding for healthcare and food. It’s pretty easy to see who the #GOP cares about and it isn’t 99% of the population.

¤ Books are banned.
¤ Women have no reproductive rights.
¤ Children are killed for going to school.
¤ Most of the budget goes to supporting a Police State.
¤ Outsiders are viewed as a threat.
¤ Science is completely ignored.
¤ Religion dominates society.

We went to a kid's birthday party yesterday in our local bowling alley. After bowling & food, the kids moved to the arcade (video games + ones that give tickets for prizes).

While we were there an armed security guard walked through.At least he wasn't in the green military style uniform that the ones in #Target wear, but still looked like he was dressed for a war zone rather than a kids arcade.

More armed guards just means more shooting. Never less. More guns means more deaths.
